traditional architecture concept using exposed masonry.

Pousada
Tauma is Located at Calangute, less than a km away from
the beach. Complimentary shuttle service provided to the
beach. The hotel is 50 km from the airport and
15 km from the nearest railway station. Transfers to the
hotel are not provided for but could be arranged.

Tauma has 12 airconditioned suites comprise of 4 Standard
suites, 6 Superior suites and 2 Deluxe suite. Each suite
has a theme. It also has its own private dining area,
bedroom with a dressing table, wardrobe and a patio with a
private, detached garden or terrace. Also, STD/ISD dialing
facilities, television with satellite transmission
channels and a 'minibar' are all included as well. |

Facilities
Pousada Tauma has created
and devised an Ayurveda Centre with such exclusive
facilities to tone to one's mind, body and soul. The
unique feature of this wing in addition to the inherent
antiquity is the fully-equipped Ayurveda Health Care
Centre. The visitors can experience Ayurveda in the
general itinerary and can take up special Ayurveda
packages as treatment for the cure of various ailments.
The Philosophy of Ayurveda :
The knowledge system of life and longevity as the meaning
of Ayurveda goes, is perhaps the oldest existing body of
knowledge on the healing process. The holistic and natural
healing system was developed by highly evolved spiritual
beings who not only addressed the problems of the body and
mind but also of the human spirit and consciousness. This
knowledge systems, which is in perfect harmony with the
Indian thought process, the origin of which can be traced
to Vedas, does not aim at a mere cure of the disease
syndrome. Instead
it looks to reharmonice the living body and restore it to
its natural state of equilibrium. Thus, the preventive and
promotive aspects of medicare have been given great
significance in this indigenous healing system. At
AYURVEDIC CENTRE, this unique health care system is
administered under the utmost care of well trained
physicians and masseurs. Various forms of traditional
treatments like Dhara, Pizhichil, Navakizhi, Sirovasti and
Sneha Vasti are offered. Some of these programmes need to
be under controlled environment with many instructions to
be followed especially under the supervision of a very
senior physician.

The focal point of
Pousada-Tauma is a plethora of hand-crafted wooden-deck
beds to relax, sun-bathe, soothed by the theraupetic sound
of flowing water.
The bottom and sides of the pool are finished in a
striking artistic mosaic of "re-cycled broken tiles". The
pool complex includes a "sunken" pool-bar, pool-side
pavilion and a water-cascade.

Excursions.
The desk (instead of the usual counter), makes it
