Yoga - an
ancient Indian practice, dating back to 2500 BC
(possibly
even earlier) - is a scientific system which brings good
health, happiness, and a greater sense of ‘self'. In Yoga
, the body and mind are linked to create a state of
internal peace and integration, bringing the individual
from a state of separation to a self-unity that is
flexible, accepting and whole.
Yoga and Ayurveda
Yoga has been recognized and practiced for thousands of
years in India as a complement to Ayurvedic medicine and
total healing. In fact, Yoga and Ayurveda belong to the
same Vedic philosophical milieu.
As Yogic
postures and breathing techniques have been
known
for their amazing health benefits, we at Ayurdhama
practice the most traditional Hata Yoga (Postures) and
Pranayama ( Asana ), bringing pressure on the vital points
of the body to keep it healthy.
