Far, away from the exhaust pipes of trucks and vehicles, from the vulgatory of loudspeakers and hoardings, from lifeless urban vegetation, from dull grey skys... this is an invitation to explore the music of the forest and to breathe some clean air, at last.

Location:

86 km from Nainital and 216 km from Delhi , Corbett National Park nestles in the guarding hills of Northern India. Claridges Corbett Hideaway Wildlife Resort is located in close proximity to the river banks of Ramganga which passes through the Corbett National Park in Uttaranchal.

Facilities

Dining: An exquisitely woven thatch and bamboo cone roofs the circular open-air dining area. Also a place to make new friends, the view encompasses the entire expanse of the resort on one side and on the other, majestic cliffs rising from the river flowing beneath.

Cuisine : The resort serves excellent continental food and Indian cuisine. And a great variety of it all! The specialities of the Kumaoni region are a favourite feature on the menu. The emphasis is on freshness of produce.(Remember to ask for minestrone soup, which is a wee bit spicy but lipsmacking. And the chicken kakori kababs that give your palate exciting information on gourmet cooking!)

Conference & Banquet facilities: A spacious conference room opening into the bar and a high-ceilinged dining hall allows for corporate meetings, an international conference or even a celebration in sylvan surroundings.

Safaris : Corbett Hideaway takes you on exhilarating safaris to the Corbett Park on horseback, elephant and on cycles. Softer options are jeeps and the Resort's Canter bus.Probably no other resort is as well equipped with safari facilities.

We are the only resort with an officially approved safari bus. Our jeeps have their engines tuned to go silently and stealthily into the forest. And no other resort can boast of the gentle Champavati who has lived her elephantine life for 56 wonderful years!

You are escorted by Corbett Hideaway's trained guides and naturalists, who can read jungle signs and virtually smell out an animal in the bush. Conversant with the favourite paths of various animals, your guide will not let you return before you see a splendid variety of animal and bird life.
 

Accommodation

The burnt red of the cottages forms a restful backdrop to verdant environs. Sloping tiled roofs, cool stone floors with throw rugs, block wood furniture and other details allow maximum comfort while continuing the illusion of being in the wilds. The accent is clearly on nature. The 40 guest rooms have a clever area separation, for sleeping and for living, as in a suite. You get a sense of miles of extra space. Double roomed suites are available for groups and families. All the rooms are air conditioned with hot water in baths, and a refrigerator fulll of cooling drinks.
