Sarovaram Ayurvedic resort is a heritage monument located on the serene banks of Lake Ashtamudi, far away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Sarovaram lies on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake in Kerala (known as God’s Own Country), 10 kilometers from Kollam, 80 Kilometers from Trivandrum and 165 Kilometers from Cochin in the extreme southwest of the Indian peninsula. Kerala is flanked by the Arabian Sea on the west and the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats on the east.

A major attraction of Sarovaram is “Ayurmana”, the Ayurvedic treatment centre, run by a team of dedicated and specialized Ayurvedic doctors, who give personal attention to each client. Dr. T. N. Yetheendran M. D, Ph. D (Ayurveda) also Retd. Deputy Director- Indian Systems of Medicine, Govt. of Kerala, the chief Consultant at Ayurmana is the first certified Panchakarma Specialist in Kerala.

The chief promoter, Dr. A.G. Muraleedharan Nair, a renowned Ayurvedic doctor who hails from a family of generations of Ayurvedic experts, has long years of experience in treatment and manufacture of medicines.

Facilities

Ayurvedic treatments centre at the resort, built in traditional Kerala ‘Nalukettu’ style, offers a host of Ayurvedic packages. We proffer special Ayurvedic treatment regime using herbal medicines. It slows down wear and tear of body tissues, ensures vigour and vitality and it promotes sound sleep and improves memory.

The resort also has a well maintained herbal garden with over 200 medicinal plants that are essential ingredients in ayurvedic medicines.

In addition, qualified experts teach yoga and meditation to the guests. Yoga is a vital exercise evolved and followed by our ancestors to supplement a healthy body and mind. It relieves stress and helps one face life with ease and self-confidence. Various ‘Asanas’ are demonstrated and benefits explained in detail during training.
