Athreya Ayurvedic Resort is located perfectly in the midst of green paddy fields and swaying palms in an ideal location surrounded by an ayurvedic garden and scenic backwaters. The resort is built with traditional wood put together in an ethnic framework which is not only unusual but a form of ancient style which is truly a feast for the eyes. Our welcome block at the entrance which houses the reception, Administration and all consultation matters is mainly constructed using wood in the olden style with single stone and wooden pillars along with a 'thulasi thara'. We offer our guests the privilege to relax in the visitors lounge and breathe in the naturally fresh air.

Our guests are given the opportunity to have private consultations with our doctors with consultation rooms built for this very purpose. This is the setting where the ancient Indian curative science of Ayurveda is practiced with no compromise, where traditional herbs and oils are used to cleanse, detoxify and rejuvenate each and every guest.

Facilities

The treatment Center in Athreya is a multi-storied building located a few meters away from our cottages to ensure a peaceful environment. Each treatment undertaken in Athreya is only started after an in depth consultation with our team of in house doctors.

Patients should trust their doctor and follow his recommendations. Once treatment starts, the regimen of the guest is then specifically according to what our doctor has prescribed. This is to ensure that the goal of well-being is achieved during the time spent at Athreya.

Athreya has spacious multiple treatment rooms with all the needed ayurvedic equipment like the 'dronni' which is a long table designed specially for the specialized oil massage given by our competent and trained staff. A steam bath chamber is also available which is used for our famous rejuvenation therapy

Some of the treatments include:

PANCHAKARMA
Panchakarma (which means 5 steps or 5 actions) is a cleansing and rejuvenating program for the body and mind. It is well-known for its beneficial effects on the overall health and sense of well-being of an individual.

PIZHICHIL
This is a specialized treatment where hot oil is squeezed from a cloth all over the body. This oil is continuously poured from a height above the patient with a subsequent massage which enhances the feeling of well-being. Since Ayurveda is tailor made, this is of course prescribed according to doctor's orders.

Apart from this all kinds of ayurvedic treatments and 'Suka Chikiltsa' are also given at Athreya Resorts under the supervision of Doctors.

Accommodation

Athreya Resorts has 7 single room cottages with attached bathrooms. Each of these cottages though traditional in outlook has all modern attachments like hot and cold water, dressing area, CCTV, fridge, telephone and a traditional sit-out.

Royal Cottage fit for royalty. Built in the traditional style of 'Arayum Nirayum' this cottage is double storeyed with a balcony facing beautiful scenic backwaters and green paddy fields with swaying natural coconut trees. This cottage comes with all modern amenities like attached bathrooms, hot and cold running water, dressing area, CCTV, fridge and telephone.

Athreya Resorts has 4 Deluxe A/C Cottages with attached bathrooms, hot and cold water, dressing area, CCTV, fridge, telephone, traditional balcony to spend time in peace and harmony with nature. This cottage with convertible/ separate entrances is ideal for families with children or 2 couples.

Athreya Resorts also has a traditional Arayum Nirayum Block completely built in wood with 4 single room accommodations.
